The Center Playhouse is home to Center Players.  It is an intimate, 49-seat dessert theater located at 35 South Street in downtown Freehold Center.  After a five year development effort, its doors opened in March of 2001 with a gala celebration and sold out run of "Crossing Delancey," Center Players' debut presentation in the new space.  The theater is handicapped accessible and hosts three Signature Series productions each year, as well as Special Applause and monthly playreadings.  Through special arrangement with the town, parking is allowed for our patrons directly across the street from the theater in the County lot on Mechanic Street.  Dinner packages are offered with local restaurant partners for most events.

MCACFunding has been made possible, in part, by the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders, through the county Historical Commission and the NJ State Council on the Arts, a partner agency of the National Endowment of the Arts.
